Janell Rowe-Andrews
Wizard Wells, Texas

Janell  was born in Corpus Christi, Texas on July 11, 1946. She married Bill (Jr.) Andrews
in 1985 and moved to Wizard Wells, Texas 1989.
She joined the WCAA in 2001 and held numerous offices including Reporter, Program
Chairman, Correspondence Secretary and President. Janell earned entry in the WCAA
calendar for 6 years running.
In 1975, she started painting with oil and pastels though Mrs. Matthews of McCamey,
Texas. She attended Doug Prine workshop and was mentored by Betty Blakely of Perrin,
Texas. Janell spent several years painting with oils and experimented with acrylics.
In 2001, she started taking classes with Barbara Pinkerton, who challenging  her to try
different mediums such as pen & ink, more acrylics, water colors, pastels, charcoals, and
Janell has won numerous awards for her artistic talents and creations, winning the People
Choice Award two times. Her love of painting is evident in her work.
